Hooper Ranked Third Among ODI All-Rounders

Carl Hooper's phenomenal run of form with the bat has catapulted him among the world's top three ODI all-rounders, according to the latest ratings from PricewaterhouseCoopers.

The West Indies captain was ranked third behind South African Jacques Kallis and Pakistani Abdur Razzaq, further confirmation of Hooper's complete transformation as a bona fide world class all-rounder.

Hooper is coming off a season for the ages. First, he completely dominated the Busta Cup competition, almost single-handedly leading Guyana to the regional title. Immediately after, he took the task to the visiting Indians in the five-Test series, finishing with 579 runs (avg. 82.71; 3 centuries).

The stylish right-hander also topped the West Indies batting averages in the just-concluded ODI series, finishing with an average of 78.00 (SR 98.73).

PricewaterhouseCoopers calculates the top ODI all-rounders by multiplying batting and bowling points together (divided by 1000). Only the top five all-rounders and ranked and PwC makes it clear it does not attempt to rate fielding ability.
