Hooper Wants Review of D/L Method

Feeling undone by the controversial Duckworth-Lewis Method in Wednesday one day match against New Zealand, West Indies captain Carl Hooper the time is ripe for the ICC to review the system.

The Duckworth-Lewis (D/L) method ( click here for an explanation) was used to calculate the target Hooper's team would chase once rain interrupted the match, which was eventually won by New Zealand. ""We have been hard done by the system used," Hooper complained afterwards.

When the rains came, New Zealand reached 212/5 off 44.2 overs and the D/L calculations set the West Indies a target of 212 from 11 less overs. Chasing 212 from 33 overs, the West Indies mounted a valiant chase but fell short by nine runs.
