Ganga's 86 Leads Windies 'A' to Victory
Former Test opener Darren Ganga teamed up with Donovan Pagon to
lead the West India 'A' team to an 82-run win against Ireland in a
50-over game at Rathmines, Dublin.
The Trinidadian right-hander top-scored with 86 as the 'A' team
racked up 268 for six off 50 overs. He got support from former
youth standouts Pagon (62) and Duane Bravo (35). Devon Smith (22)
and Runako Motron (24) also spent some time in the middle.
In reply, the Irish team was skittled out for 186 from 49.1
overs, with a top-score of 88 from Peter Gillespie. Pacer Marlon
Black was the pick of the bowlers with 3-23 while Suleiman Benn
took 3-24.
The first tour match was ruined by rain, but not before the West
Indies 'A' team again helped themselves to batting practice. Runako
Morton's 116 led the way in a total of 220 from 46.2 overs.
