Drakes, Collins, Nagas in 1st ODI XI

Barbadian fast bowlers Vasbert Drakes and Pedro Collins have been named in the final eleven for the first ODI against India at Jamshedpur on Wednesday. Leg-spinner Mahendra Nagamootoo was also included.

The selectors did not make any changes to the batting line-up that performed admirably in the final Test at Eden Gardens but decided to make wholesale changes to the bowling attack with Cameron Cuffy being the odd man out.

Jamaican pacers Daren Powell and Jermaine Lawson have returned to the Caribbean (they were not named in the squad for the ODIs) and the tour committee said Cuffy was sidelined with a strained hamstring. Cuffy should, however, be available for selection for the second match.

NOTE: The Board of Control for Cricket in India has made a late decision to start the game 15 minutes earlier than originally scheduled.
