Three Newcomers in B'dos Squad

Opening batsman Randy Thomas was among a trio of newcomers named in the 16-man Barbados squad to prepare for the 2003 West Indies four-day first-class competition.

The Barbados selectors also included opener Jason Haynes and fast bowling all-rounder Ryan Nurse in the squad for the first time. Nurse made his first-class debut when he played for the West Indies 'B' team last year.

The Barbados team will be without pacers Corey Collymore, Vasbert Drakes and Pedro Collins who will be away on World Cup duty.
