Awards Renamed to Honour Greats
This year's individual incentive awards in the Carib Beer 2003 Cricket series will honour some of the greatest names in West Indies cricket, including the late Malcolm Marshall.
The top batsman in this year's tournament will now win the Sir Vivian Richards Award while the top bowler will get the Courtney Walsh Award. The Malcolm Marshall Award will go to the top all-rounder while the top wicketkeeper will receive the Deryck Murray award and the top fielder will get the Clive Lloyd award.
Winners of the individual awards will also receive US$1,500, while a special prize for the most promising fast bowler -- named the Andy Roberts Award -- will pocket US$1,000. The man-of-the-match in each of the matches will receive US$150 and a medallion.
New sponsors Carib Beer will give US$10,000 to the International Challenge champions and the Carib Beer Cup winners will collect US$7,500.
