Sanford Wrecks W'wards; J'ca in Charge

It was a good second day for former West Indies cricketers.

Former West Indies pacer Adam Sanford marked his name present with a six-wicket haul as the Leewards skittled out their Windward counterparts for 180 to secure first innings points. Daren Powell and Gareth Breese helped scythe through the Windies 'B' to put Jamaica on the cusp of victory while, in Guyana, Philo Wallace's 74 led the way as Barbados took control. Leewards v Windwards

Replying to the Leewards first innings total of 385, the Windwards crashed to 180 all out. Only a fighting knock of 74 by hotshot prospect Devon Smith showed any resistance to the Adam Sanford show.

Barbados v Guyana:
Philo Wallace (74) teamed up with another ex West Indies batsman Courtney Browne (58 not out) to guide Barbados to 292 for six and first innings points over hosts Guyana.

Leading by 46 on first innings, Trinidad coasted to 69 without loss to take control of their match against India 'A'. Earlier, Dinanath Ramnarine's haul of 4-60 teamed up with Marlon Black (2-24) and Mukesh Persad (3-67) to reduce India 'A' to 215.

Jamaican pacers Daren Powell (2-35) and David Bernard Jr (3-34) teamed up for off-spinner Gareth Breese (2-22) to run through the Windies 'B' second innings batting and set up what would be an easy victory on Sunday.
