Five-wicket Hauls for Jeremy, Best

On-the-cusp pacers Kerry Jeremy (Leewards) and Tino Best (Barbados) returned five-wicket hauls on a day when the bowlers enjoyed themselves in the seventh round of the Carib Beer Cup competition.

Jeremy's 5-55 was the key in helping the Leewards against Trinidad & Tobago while Best's 5-40 against Windies 'B' put Barbados in a very strong position after the first day. Brian Lara, Floyd Reifer, Sherwin Campbell and Dwayne Bravo all got half-centuries...

Winning the toss and batting first, Guyana paced itself to 202 for six against the Windward Islands, thanks to a half-century from opener Azeemul Haniff and an unbeaten 32 from Test batsman Shiv Chanderpaul.

Trinidad & Tobago v Leewards
Replying to Trinidad and Tobago's first innings score of 303, the Leewards struggled to 89 for four as Marlon Black's quick two wickets put the cat among the pigeons.
