WICB Pushes Back Carib Semis, Finals

The West Indies Cricket Board has re-scheduled the outstanding fixture between West Indies 'B' and India 'A' as well as the semi-finals and final of the Carib Beer tournament because of the late arrival of the India 'A' team.

The first round match between Windies 'B' and India 'A' that was earlier postponed will now be played at Kensington Oval in Barbados starting on Friday (March 21).

The rescheduling of that game means that the semi-finals and final of the Carib Beer International Challenge will be delayed by one week. They semi-finals will now start on March 28 and the final on April 4.

WICB chief operations officer Michael Hall said the decision to reschedule the game was made to be fair to India 'A'.

"The WICB did not feel it was fair for India 'A' to forfeit the points for missing the first round match and, now that they have a chance to make it in to the semi-finals for the Carib Beer International Challenge Trophy, we had to shift our dates around," Hall said.
