Guyana Storm into Carib Cup Semis

Guyana completed a 75-run win over the Windward Islands and secured a semi-final berth after Tea on the fourth and final day of their seventh round Carib Cup match at Albion.

Set 267 for victory, the Windwards crumbled to 192 all out despite a brief fightback from middle order batsmen Darren Sammy (53 not out) and captain Rawl Lewis (45).

Guyana moved to 48 points in the tournament, good for second place in the overall standings and home field advantage in the semi final. Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica have all qualified for the semis but the fourth spot won't be determined until after the Windies 'B' vs India 'A' game scheduled for Friday.

If India 'A' beats the Under 23 team outright, India 'A' goes through but if the youth select Xi is able to force a draw, Trinidad & Tobago will qualify.

If India 'A' goes through, they will travel to Guyana and Jamaica will travel to Barbados for the semis. If Trinidad qualifies, they will travel to Guyana as the fourth place qualifier (Jamaica would place third having won the head-to-head against T&T).
