First McGrath, Now Martyn
World champions Australia arrived in Guyana without Glenn McGrath and Damien Martyn ahead of their tour of the West Indies.
The Aussies, fresh from their World Cup victory in South Africa, flew in from London ahead of their four-match Test series and seven-match one-day series.
But star bowler McGrath, who travelled with the team to London, has returned to Australia after his wife was diagnosed with cancer.
Martyn has broken the index finger of his right hand and faces a fitness test in the next few days to determine whether he will travel to the Caribbean.
Brad Williams, currently on duty in Brisbane with Australia A, has been called up to replace McGrath and will link up with the squad on Sunday in Georgetown.
