Gayle Back; Hinds, Collins Dropped
Struggling left-handed opener Wavell Hinds and pacer Pedro Collins have been dropped from the West Indies side for the third Test match in Barbados. Chris Gayle will return to the side after missing the first two Tests.
Hinds, who scored just 72 runs in four innings (avg. 18.00) was dumped along with Collins, the Barbadian fast bowler who took just one Aussie wicket in 61 overs during the first two Tests. All-rounder David Bernard Jr. was also axed.
Returning from injury are Jermaine Lawson (chickenpox), Ridley Jacobs (groin) and Shiv Chanderpaul (knee).
The axing for Collins effectively means countryman Tino Best will make his Test debut in front of him home crowd but the retention of off-spinner Omari Banks gives the selectors a few options when setting up the bowling attack.
Despite the return of Jacobs, Baugh has retained his place in the 14-man squad.
