Hurley, Collymore in ODI Squad

Barbadian all-rounder Ryan Hurley is the lone newcomer in the 15-man West Indies squad named for the seven-game ODI series against Australia which starts in Jamaica on May 17.

The 28-year-old Hurley, who enjoyed a solid Carib Beer Cup season (337 runs, avg. 33.70; 18 wkts at 26.27) is the lone newcomer to the side. Also recalled were pacer Corey Collymore and Jamaican all-rounder David Bernard Jr.

Collymore, who has become an ODI specialist, was a member of the West Indies World Cup side but could hardly crack into the Test line-up, despite having superior statistics to several Test bowlers.

Bernard Jr., who made an inauspicious Test debut in Trinidad two weeks ago, also finds a place in the ODI squal alongside Tino Best and Omari Banks, the other newcomers to the West Indies side.

Ridley Jacobs is the only wicket-keeper named in the squad, which means Carlton Baugh will watch this one from the sidelines.
