Camacho, Hunte on CWC 2007 Board

Former CEO of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) Stephen Camacho has been appointed a director of the 15-member board of the Cricket World Cup 2007, joining a group that includes former WICB vice president Julian Hunte.

The WICB announced the composition of the full board -- which is being chaired by Rawle Brancker with Owen Melhado and deputy -- that features one representative each from CARICOM and the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO).

The directors are:

Julian Hunte: St. Lucia's Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade and a former vice-president of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB). Also a former President of the Windward Islands Cricket Board of Control.

Stephen Camacho: Former Guyana captain and West Indies opening batsman. Former chief executive of the WICB.

Ken Hewitt: Former treasurer of the WICB and partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers in Barbados

Allen Chastanet: Aviation, tourism and hospitality expert based in St Lucia.

Vaneisa Baksh: Trinidad & Tobago-based journalist and communications specialist.

Claude Denbow: Trinidad & Tobago-based finance attorney.

Clifford Reis: Chairman and managing director of Banks DIH Ltd. in Guyana.

Fabien Fahie; Economist and permanent secretary in the Ministry of Economic Development, Investment and Commerce in Anguilla.

Two nominees of the WICB, to be named at a later date, will complete the board.
