Shillingford on Antigua WC Bid Team

Former WICB chief executive Gregory Shillingford has been named on a three-man bid committee to work on Antigua & Barbuda's plans to host World Cup cricket matches in 2007.

Shillingford, who was dismissed from the CEO post in 2002, was named on Antigua's bid committee along with tourism ministry officials Molwyn Joseph and Lorraine Headley.

A total of 12 countries -- including the U.S. -- have registered bid committees with the ICC Cricket World Cup West Indies (WI) 2007 Inc. and a glance at the committees shows several WICB directors and former international cricketers.

Former cricketers Lance Gibbs (USA), Theo Cuffy (Cayman Islands) and Mike Findlay (St Vincent) are also among the names released by CWC West Indies 2007 Inc.
