David Bernard Jr Faces Charges
According to a report in the Jamaica Observer, Jamaican allrounder David Bernard Junior is facing charges of using indecent language following an incident where the cricketer was denied entry to Sabina Park by a security guard who did not recognise him.
Citing an unnamed eyewitness, the report says that Bernard Jr did not have his pass and was initially denied admission, but was then cleared by another guard. The eyewitness stated that a policeman then involved himself and berated Bernard and an exchange of words followed.
Rested from the Jamaican side that was playing England in a 3 day warmup match before the first Test, Bernard Jr has been a prominent part of Jamaica's first class success this season. He has been granted bail and will be in court this Friday.
