Collins Wins W.I Recall
Left-arm pacer Pedro Collins is the replacement for his half-brother Fidel Edwards in the West Indies side for the second Test match against England which starts in Trinidad & Tobago on Friday.
According to a CricInfo report, the Collins/Edwards swap is the only change to the 13-man squad that crashed to an embarrassing defeat in the first Test at Sabina Park. Dwayne Smith, who is nursing a dislocated finger, was retained in the squad.
Collins last represented the West Indies exactly a year ago against Australia at Trinidad's Queen's Park Oval. In 19 Tests for the regional side, Collins has picked up 55 wickets at 40.32 each. In the recent Carib Beer Cup competition, he was the leading wicket-taker for champions Barbados, picking up 37 wickets at 18.45.
The four players -- Ramnaresh Sarwan, Chris Gayle, Tino Best and Adam Sanford -- who were seen in the 'party' stand after the crushing loss in Jamaica were all retained in the squad and there was no immediate word on any disciplinary action.
