Three Windians in World XI

West Indies captain Brian Lara will join teammates Chris Gayle and Dwayne Bravo in a World XI to raise funds for victims of the Indian Ocean tsunami disaster.

Lara will headline the World XI squad that includes five Australians. The Rest of the World XI is scheduled to play a one-day match against an Asian XI at the MCG on January 10.

The rest of the World XI side includes Australians Ricky Ponting, Matthew Hayden, Adam Gilchrist, Shane Warne and Glenn McGrath. New Zealanders Stephen Fleming, Chris Cairns and Daniel Vettori were also picked along with Darren Gough from England.

The Asian team will be named tomorrow.
