WICB: We'll Reply in 10 Days

The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) plans to respond to the findings of the Justice Anthony Lucky-led sponsorship negotiations review committee within 10 days.

In a brief statement issued Tuesday, the WICB's executive committee said it would make the Lucky report available to the public along with its own comments within 10 days.

The executive committee met in Antigua on September 4 and had "detailed and extensive discussions" on the document, which has already been published in its entirety on CaribbeanCricket.com.

However, sources say the board plans to challenge the accuracy of the committee's findings. "We have a paper trail to prove that lots of things said by [the Lucky committee] were not accurate," said a well-placed source.

The source said that during the WICB's discussions, the issue of whether CEO Roger Brathwaite would resign was raised but Brathwaite flatly refused to quit, insisting he followed the instructions from the directors.
