Another day, another shocking performance that puts the West Indies in the record books for all the wrong reasons. On day one of the second Test against Australia, after a shaky start, the Caribbean side was on the road to consolidation with Chris Gayle and Shivnarine Chanderpaul both building the foundations for decent knocks.

The foundations crumbled however, as did everything around them. With the last seven wickets falling for just 30 runs, West Indies posted 149 all out, the lowest ever Test innings score at Bellerive Oval.

The Barbados selectors have recalled 29 year old opening batsman Wayne Blackman to the 13 man squad for their opening Carib Beer series match against Guyana.

Blackman played two first class matches for Barbados over five years ago and in the Barbados Nation, Haydn Gill believes the latest nod could see the resurrection of a forgotten career.
