Sarwan in Traffic Accident

West Indies batsman Ramnaresh Sarwan escaped unhurt after being involved in a traffic accident shortly before noon in Georgetown, Guyana.

According to a report on the WICB's Web site, Sarwan was driving along a city street when the driver of another vehicle failed to yield to traffic on the major road and his vehicle ended up in the path of Sarwan's SUV.

No one in the accident suffered any injuries and Sarwan says he is in good health after the mishap.

"I am fine, no scrapes, no scratches, no bruises or anything and I'm fully available to play cricket this weekend at Bourda," Sarwan said.

Sarwan is expected to serve as stand-in captain for two ODIs against Zimbabwe at Bourda on Saturday and Sunday.
