Lara Pulls Out of Stanford 20/20

West Indies captain Brian Lara is doubtful for the inaugural Stanford Twenty/20 Tournament which bowls off on Tuesday in Antigua, according to a report on a CMC Sports report.

It is understood that Lara will be away on business in London during the period of the tournament.

However, two other players who represented West Indies in the recently concluded Test and One-Day Series against Zimbabwe and India, skipper Daren Ganga and Denesh Ramdin have indicated to chief selector Dudnath Ramkessoon that they are available for the competition.

Another Trinidad & Tobago player, Dwayne Bravo, who also represented the regional side against Zimbabwe and India, will be unavailable.

Bravo is in England for his debut season as a professional with Kent in the English County Championships.

Left-arm spinner Dave Mohammed is also out of the limited overs tournament. He has been included in the West Indies 'A' team to tour England later this month.

CaribbeanCricket.com has learnt that Marlon Samuels and Carlton Baugh, two Jamaicans who declined the WICB's invitation to tour with the West Indies 'A' team, have been included in Jamaica's 20/20 squad for the tournament.
