Collymore Leaves Windies Squad
Fast bowler Corey Collymore departed Mumbai, India today to be with his wife Dionne for the birth of their first child.
Collymore, who will consequently miss the West Indies first Group A ICC Champions Trophy game against Australia on Wednesday October 18th, is scheduled to rejoin the West Indies squad after the birth.
"We'll miss Corey, he's a senior player in our side but the first born in anybody's life is a very important time," head coach Bennett King said.
"We wish him and his wife Dionne all the best and hope that this special time in their lives runs smoothly," King added.
No replacement will be sought for Collymore during the time that he is away.
