Crandon in Windies 'A' Team Squad

Hard-hitting Guyanese all-rounder Esaun Crandon has been named in a 17-man West Indies 'A' team squad to take on the visiting Sri Lankans later this month.

Crandon, who made a name for himself in the Stanford 20/20 tournament, was picked alongside 'A' team newcomers Ryan Austin, Rayad Emrit, Austin Richards and Travis Dowlin. The team also marks the return of pacer Ravi Rampaul but the absence of Marlon Samuels, Carlton Baugh and Dwayne Smith is sure to raise some eyebrows.

There is a likelihood that those Samuels, Baugh and Smith could be in the West Indies ODI side for the one-day series against Pakistan.

Wavell Hinds, Sylvester Joseph, Devon Smith, Narsingh Deonarine and Ryan Hinds were all picked in the squad, which will play two 'Tests' and five one day internationals in November and December.
