Zorol Barthley Quits WICB
The staff exodus at the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) is gaining steam.Zorol Barthley, the chief cricket operations officer, will be calling it quits at the end of February next year to pursue the establishment of a luxury car dealership in his native Antigua.
Barthley's exit comes hard on the heels of several high-level management changes at the beleaguered board and allows new CEO Roland Toppin to start his tenure with a new slate.
So far this year, the WICB resignations included CEO Roger Brathwaite, chief marketing executive Darren Millien, chief cricket development officer Dr. Michael Seepersaud and Bryce Cavanagh, the Australia-born strength and conditioning coach.
Barthley, a former Young Windies captain, was hired by the WICB in September 2003 to replace Michael Hall.
