A Masseur for the Windies

Leewards left-arm spinner Virgil Browne has joined the West Indies team operations unit as a masseur.

Brown, a qualified massage therapist, will be seconded to the West Indies World Cup squad at the request of team physiotherapist Stephen Partridge.

The 32-year-old Browne, who has played in six first class matches, joined the squad in Montego Bay and will remain with the squad for the duration of the World Cup tournament.

"I met Virgil during the Stanford 20/20 Tournament while he was playing for Nevis and I was impressed with him and requested that he be seconded to us," Partridge said.
