Taylor heading to Glamorgan?
West Indies fast bowler Jerome Taylor is negotiating a sponsorship deal with Digicel that could include a stint with English county side Glamorgan.
According to information reaching CaribbeanCricket.com, the 22-year-old Jamaican will join Glamorgan immediately after the West Indies tour of England. The Digicel-sponsored scholarship is valued at US$40,000.
Taylor is also in the running to replace the retired Brian Lara on the list of West Indies players with retainer contracts.
Taylor, one of the most promising young cricketers in the region, has played in 10 Tests and and 35 ODIs for the regional side.
