Bravo to lead; Parchment to debut
After successfully filling in for the injured Chris Gayle, Dwayne Bravo will captain the West Indies tomorrow in the third ODI against Zimbabwe, at Harare Sports Club. Gayle injured his right hamstring while batting, leaving Bravo to lead the side which registered a convincing 110 run victory.
Twenty five year old Jamaican opening batsman Brenton Parchment will be taking Gayle's place in the lineup. After strong showings in both the KFC Cup and the last Carib Beer season, Parchment will seeking to establish himself against international opposition.
In the meantime Gayle continues to receive treatment for his injury, and the West Indies Cricket Board reports that he will be monitored on a day to day basis. The final XI for the 3rd ODI is Dwayne Bravo (captain), Devon Smith, Brenton Parchment, Runako Morton, Shiv Chanderpaul, Marlon Samuels, Rawl Lewis, Denesh Ramdin, Ravi Rampaul, Jerome Taylor, Daren Powell.
