Chattergoon gets ODI call-up; No Sarwan

Guyanese opener Sewnarine Chattergoon is getting another shot at ODI cricket for the West Indies.

The 26-year-old left-hander, who played in three one-day internationals in 2006, has been drafted into the touring side for the ODI leg of the ongoing tour of South Africa. Chattergoon joins Ravi Rampaul as the only additions to the side currently preparing for the Third Test match in South Africa.

They will take the places of opener Daren Ganga and left-arm seamer Pedro Collins.

Surprisingly, there is no place in the ODI side for Ramnaresh Sarwan, who returned from injury to score a century and a half-century against Trinidad & Tobago in the first round of the Carib Beer Cup competition.
