Guyana threatens to sue WICB over World Cup $$
Guyana president Bharrat Jagdeo yesterday said his government will sue the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) if money it is owed, some US$1M, for Cricket World Cup (CWC) is not paid up, according to a report in the Chronicle."They have our money and they are not paying us," Mr. Jagdeo told a press conference at the Presidential Complex, Georgetown.
The money, Mr. Jagdeo said is owed by the WICB is for tickets sold for the Super Eight matches held in Guyana March/April, 2007, at the Guyana National Stadium at Providence, East Bank Demerara.
