Deron Dixon new Jamaica Senior Team Manager
Former Jamaica and Young West Indies player Deron Dixon has been appointed Manager of the National Senior Cricket Team by the Jamaica Cricket Association at tehir board meeting on December 16. He takes over from outgoing manager Milton Henry and will serve for two years.Following the appointment JCA President Paul Campbell said, "we use this medium to congratulate Deron Dixon on his appointment, and look forward to the continuance of our successful campaign".
"We also wish to thank Mr. Henry for his outstanding contribution to the growth of our game and our National Senior Team, and look forward to continue working with him in his capacity as Honorary Secretary of the JCA."
Campbell went on to note that Dixon's appointment is part the JCA's Strategic Plan which looks to foster and maintain the involvement of past players in key roles within the national organisation.
"We believe his knowledge of the game and experience in administration augurs well for the development of our players who aspire to represent the West Indies in the future. Mr. Dixon’s appointment is part of our Strategic Plan to sustain links and involvement of our former cricketers, in roles such as coaching, mentoring, administration, umpiring, team advisers/managers and match refereeing," Campbell noted.
