T&T eject Deccan Chargers in a nailbiter

Despite a few jitters at the end, Trinidad and Tobago held on to beat Deccan Chargers in today's Champions League Twenty20 match in front of the Chargers' home crowd in Hyderabad. The Indian team needed a win to keep their hopes in this tournament alive.

William Perkins top scored for T&T with 38 off 32 in their total of 149. In reply, Adam Gilchrist fired off a blistering 51 before falling to a brilliant catch by Kieron Pollard off the bowling of Lendl Simmons. It was a stop and go affair after that, with the match teetering back and forth between the two teams, but with Dwayne Bravo (3 for 24) leading the attack, it came down to a final over and the final ball leaving Deccan Chargers still four runs short.

Trinidad and Tobago's victory today gives new hope to Somerset, who stood to be eliminated had T&T not won. CricInfo has the details and the scorecard.
