Windies undergoing intensive preparations in Barbados

Bridgetown, Barbados – The members of the West Indies Twenty20 squad for the two Twenty20s in England have commenced intense fitness testing and preparations at the Sagicor High Performance Centre at the Cave Hill Campus of the University of the West Indies.

The members of the squad have been joined by the WICB centrally contracted players as well as players selected for the tour of Bangladesh. They will have a week of testing, training and planning before the T20 squad travels to England for the two engagements on September 23rd and 25th.

Players who hold WICB Developmental Contracts are also part of the camp to do fitness assessments.

The players have been under the guidance of Head Coach Ottis Gibson and members of the West Indies Team Management Unit.

As part of the preparations the West Indies will play two T20 warm-up matches against the Sagicor HPC on Saturday and Sunday.
