Windwards go to top with win; Barbados rout Guyana

Barbados registered their first win in this year's Regional Four Day Competition, beating Guyana by an emphatic 93 runs in Bridgetown on Monday.

Barbados dominated the match on all days, beginning with some solid batting on the first day. Captain Kirk Edwards led from the front with a composed 120 off 195 balls. A 164-run fourth-wicket partnership between Edwards and Jonathan Carter gave Barbados a platform for a substantial score and useful contributions from the lower order ensured that the hosts reached 367.
