Ramnarine, Ganga team seek TTCB top post

Former president of the West Indies Players Association (WIPA) Dinanath Ramnarine appears to be gaining considerable ground in his bid to become Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board's (TTCB) chief.

A slate led by Ramnarine, which includes former national captain Daren Ganga, has been attracting significant support in zonal elections currently under way.

The latest blow to current president Azim Bassarath's chances of being re-elected came this week when his Movement for Change lost representatives on the North Zone.

Ramnarine's slate of candidates won all six club representatives positions up for grabs during the North Zone poll for club representatives.
