Nelson knock not enough for Bonner XI in Jamaica trials
Former West Indies Under-19 leg-spinner Donovan Nelson was in sterling form yesterday during the second two-day warm-up match to help select Jamaica's team for the upcoming regional Four-day and Super50 tournaments.
The 23-year-old, one of several young spinners who are hoping to get the nod of the selectors, claimed six for 29, the best haul by any bowler in the two matches to date.
His achievement, however, was not enough in the end to prevent his team, Bonner XI, from going down in the first innings to Paul Palmer Jr's XI on the second day.
