Baugh resumes training; SIG wraps up today

JCA disciplinary panel rules that Baugh resume training today
The disciplinary panel of the Jamaica Cricket Association (JCA) has ruled that Carlton Baugh Jr resume training with the national team today following a hearing on Friday.

The wicketkeeper batsman who was barred from training with the rest of the team as at last December 21, as a result of a stand-off between himself and the national selection panel chaired by Wavell Hinds, confirmed that the issue has been resolved.


KC, Vere clash in T20 final
Kingston College (KC) will take on Vere Technical in the final of the inaugural SIG Schools Invitational T20 competition this afternoon at Chedwin Park, St Catherine. Both teams scored eight-wicket wins over St Jago and Manchester High respectively to take their place in the final where they will compete for $100,000 in cricket gear. The losing finalists will get $50,000 worth of gear.

Bonner shines for Nelson's XI
Discarded West Indies batsman, Nkrumah Bonner, rebounded from a low score in the first Super50 trial match to post 68 in the second and earn his team, Donovan Nelson's XI, a 19-run win over John Campbell's XI at Sabina Park yesterday.

The 24-year-old Bonner hit one six and five fours, as Nelson's XI, batting first, made 207 for nine off their 50 overs.

Campbell's XI, in their run chase, were superbly placed at 50 without loss at one stage, however, thanks to a five-wicket haul from young left-arm spinner Patrick Harty, they were dismissed for 188.
