Lewis fires as batsmen come good on Day Two

The bowlers dominated the first day of the Trinidad and Tobago three-day trial match between the Jason Mohammed XI and the Justin Guillen XI, on Friday saw spin bowlers dominating, but it was the batsmen’s turn yesterday.

It was a complete turnaround for the players as the Mohammed XI reached 339 for eight at stumps, and with Evin Lewis (124) making a strong case for his inclusion in the T&T four-day squad.

Clarke Road open UWI T20 against Defence Force

The second edition of the University of the West Indies (UWI) Twenty20 knockout tournament bowls off next Friday with $25,000 up for grabs.

First Citizens Clarke Road United will open the tournament on January 10 against Defence Force from 2.30 p.m. at Sir Frank Worrell Memorial Cricket Ground at UWI SPEC in St Augustine, before the feature match between the losing finalists in the inaugural tournament, Merry Boys, and SIS Central Sports at 6.30 p.m.
