Barbados crush T&T by an innings and 160 runs

Bridgetown, Barbados, March 23 - (www.bcacrricket.org) - Defending champions Barbados crushed Trinidad & Tobago by an innings and 160 runs - 40 minutes before tea on the third day of their fourth round WICB first-class match at Kensington Oval here today.

Following on with a deficit of 359 and starting the day on 44 without loss, Trinidad & Tobago, were bowled out for 199 in 67.5 overs in their second innings.

Ja, Windwards in tense battle for victory

An interesting battle looms on today's final day of the WICB Four-Day Championship clash between Jamaica and Windward Islands at Sabina Park.

Set 254 to win, the Windwards closed yesterday on 31 without loss, with openers Devon Smith and Tyrone Theopile not out on 15 runs each.

This means with a minimum of 90 overs to be bowled, the Windwards require 223 runs to win with all 10 second-innings wickets intact.

Jamaica had earlier made 194 in their first innings, to which the Windwards replied with 216.

Walton ton gives CCC edge over Guyana

Bridgetown, Barbados - Chadwick Walton picked up where Shacaya Thomas left off, stroking his third First Class century, to help the Combined Campuses and Colleges stay on top on Day 3.

Veerasammy Permaul gave Guyana the ideal start to Day 3 getting rid of both Thomas and Steven Jacobs in quick succession. Overnight, Thomas was unbeaten on 161 but he could only add 16 runs before being trapped Leg Before Wicket.
