Glorious win for West Indies

The battle for bragging rights between the West Indies and New Zealand is delicately poised and heading, it appears, for a brilliant finish at Kensington Oval.
After an early loss at Sabina Park, by 186 runs in four days plus a few minutes, the West Indies, after a few changes, rebounded at Queen's Park Oval, nailed New Zealand in five days and by 10 wickets, and to the happiness of West Indians, levelled the series of the three-match encounter at one-one.

At Sabina Park, New Zealand were too hot for the West Indies. First, they won the toss, then they crafted their way to a formidable 508 for seven declared with Kane Williamson and Jimmy Neesham scoring centuries, and then, in-between scoring 156 for eight declared, they unleashed fast bowlers Tim Boult and Tim Southee, spin bowlers Ish Sodhi and Mark Craig on the West Indies, and that was that.

At Queen's Park Oval, after freshening up the team a bit, after bringing in two batsmen, one, Kraigg Brathwaite, relatively new but very young, one, Jermaine Blackwood, for his debut Test, two hungry young men, the West Indies lost the toss, New Zealand started well, got to 120 for one wicket, and looked like spreading the table once again.
