CPL needs to revisit how media are treated

Only a fool would argue that the Caribbean Premier League (CPL), a Twenty/20 cricket championship that features six regional franchise teams, is not good for the sport in the region.

The CPL, which started last year and resulted in victory for the Jamaica Tallawahs over the Guyana Amazon Warriors in the final, has more than whetted the appetite of the people in the Caribbean Community (Caricom) region and by extension, North America, a public that has long yearned for cricket at a high standard and quality, something that has been playing hide and seek with them for the last 15 years.
