Sebastien, Smith pile misery on Leewards
ST GEORGE’S, Grenada, CMC – Liam Sebastien’s five-wicket haul coupled with Devon Smith’s unbeaten half-century kept Leeward Islands Hurricanes in the doldrums on the opening day of their third round match in the WICB Professional Cricket League here Friday.
Off-spinner Sebastien, the Windward Islands Volcanoes skipper, claimed five for 39 to send the Leewards tumbling for an inadequate 109 in their first innings at the National Stadium.
He was supported by left-arm spinner Alston Bobb who kept up his fine start to the season with four for 31.
Comeback Cottrell wrecks T&T Red Force

The left-armer finished the day with four for 17, a spell that reduced the hosts to 59 for five at the close of the third round encounter at Queen’s Park Oval, still 114 runs adrift of taking first innings lead.
Cottrell’s lethal burst followed up critical half-centuries from captain Tamar Lambert and veteran all-rounder Dave Bernard Jr, who rescued Jamaica from a precarious situation early in the day.
Bramble leads thrilling Jaguars revival
GEORGETOWN, Guyana, CMC – Barbados Pride were frustrated by a stubborn, ninth-wicket half-century partnership which eroded their advantage and allowed Guyana Jaguars to finish strongly, on the opening day of their third round match in the WICB Professional Cricket League here Friday.
Asked to bat first at the Guyana National Stadium, the hosts crashed to 174 for eight, to leave Barbados on top just after tea.
However, they found redemption through wicketkeeper Anthony Bramble who top-scored with 73, to be all out for 261 just before the close.Bramble anchored a ninth wicket stand of 60 with out-of-favour Test leg-spinner Devendra Bishoo who gave support with 15.
