No need to panic, says coach Junior Bennett

It's a new season, but pretty much the same story for a Jamaica senior cricket team.

A 10-wicket loss to hosts Barbados Pride in the first-round WICB Professional Cricket League (PCL) at Kensington Oval and Head Coach Junior Bennett was left disappointed and scratching his head for answers.

The batting, a grave area of concern for Jamaica's teams over the years, was substandard. In the first innings, the Scorpions, in response to the Pride's big total of 373, were 181-4 at one point before being dismissed for 189.

They were asked to follow-on and did not do any better the second time around -- bundled out for 187.
