Scorpions vs Pride
Kingston, Jamaica, February 28 - (www.bcacricket.org) - Barbados Pride defeated Jamaica Scorpions by six wickets in the post-lunch session on the third day of their eighth round WICB PCL first-class match at Sabina Park today.
Set 118 to win, Barbados Pride scored 118 for four in 31.3 overs. The match ended at 2:26 p.m.
Captain and opener Kraigg Brathwaite led the way with 36, while all-rounder Roston Chase made 35 not out and Jonathan Carter, 30.
Red Force vs Hurricanes
The Trinidad and Tobago Red Force are on course for victory in their Round Eight match of the West Indies Cricket Board Regional Four-Day tournament against the Leeward Islands Hurricanes at the National Cricket Centre, Balmain, Couva.
At the close of the third day’s play, the Hurricanes finished on 147 for five in their second innings still 34 runs in arrears. Opening batsmen Kacey Carthy top scored with 59 runs, his maiden half-century at the First Class level and Monticin Hodge stroked 40 runs. Yannic Cariah curtailed the Leeward Islands fightback with two for 34 from 10 overs with his leg-breaks.
Volcanoes vs Jaguars
GUYANA Jaguars strengthened their lead at the top of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) four-day Professional Cricket League (PCL) points table with a six-wicket victory over the Windward Islands Vulcanoes at the Beausejour Cricket Ground, St Lucia yesterday.Set a modest 40 for victory, after the Vulcanoes were dismissed for 161 in their second innings, the Jaguars overcame some early jitters, losing the wickets openers Tajenarine Chanderpaul (one) and Rajendra Chandrika (three) while Assad Fudadin and wicket-keeper Anthony Bramble were sent packing for nine and nought respectively.
