HEADLINE: TTCB: Government had to bid

The Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board has sought to further explain why T&T missed the deadline date for bidding to host one of the England Tests next year. In a press release issued by the TTCB on Tuesday, it stated that it was the governments and not the territorial cricket boards that were asked to make bids.

Immigration guarantee? What on earth is that?

And is this the first time that bidding has been followed for allotting tests?

Something just doesn't make sense. Either T&T have decided to plan for going it alone, and this is the start of the process.

Whatever it is, someone will have a lot of explaining to do

Will be interesting to see how the WICB climb down when less attractive tours are scheduled. For an England tour, they can demand money and get it.

Guarantees are procedural stuff to ensure no hindrances; immigration, customs, tax, etc.
