MUMBAI, India – The West Indies Cricket Board advised that Sulieman Benn will join the team for the upcoming five-match One-Day International series against India in India.

The 33-year-old left-arm spinner will join the team in Kochi ahead of the 1st One-Day International, which will be played on Wednesday, October 8.

Benn has so far played 25 One-Dayers – with 29 wickets at an average of 31.86 runs per wicket – including three four-wicket hauls.

I tend to agree...sour face has been smiling of late and played well against Bangla....even if it's only Bangla...

I have my reservations that Benn will be able to handle the fast pace ODIs in India where India scores 300+ in their 50 overs.

I would have taken Miller who has played 6 ODIs for WI this year and taken 10 wickets @ 24 each.

I would have rested Benn for the tests when he would be expected to bowl 60-70 overs per test.

One poster already said on another thread that Opiss rested him for 3 years...so he is well rested

I don't mind if it's Benn or Miller...I think we should have two spinners there - a leftie and a leggie, maybe Bishoo.
