This does not look good. Just when things seemed to be moving in the right direction it turns out that that is not really the case...

This seems very strange. It couldn't be that the players weren't aware of the terms before. It was clearly stated that money would be shifted from international players and spread among the regional players.

From this letter it appears: Nothing has changed; Wavell Hinds is a lick bottom African and the WICB is the same old band of no good rascals. Bring back the Apache......

Can't see how the WICB is to be blamed here. They made an agreement with the players' representative.

WICB is supposed to be responsible for overall welfare of West Indies cricket. I've never bought that. Everything they have done is to shore up their positions through deceit and exploitation of the cricketers....WICB is a malignant cancer. That's my opinion. If thgis letter contains a germ of truth, the WICB gotta go, or be pushed out....With Wavell Hinds following closely...

Most everyone wanted PEACE between the WICB and WIPA. But I doubt anyone wanted a SELLOUT.But runaway Wavell Hinds has done just that. But Wavell with one head and so many hats ,sooner rather than later some crap was bound to happen.
Never liked the idea of Cameron being president of WICB either. Both men from the same club too.
Much as I dislike the present situation, I can't honestly say I am not enjoying it.
The WICB finally got what it wanted ...a patsy at the helm of WIPA.
Now it is up to the players to boot him from the position he holds in the Association.

I could see this coming a mile off....

The crux is this paragraph:

"Perhaps Mr. Hinds, the confusion of the plethora of positions that you occupy being Chairman of Selectors for Jamaica Senior team, a Board member of the Jamaica Cricket Association and the dual role of President and CEO of WIPA have in some way contributed to the confusion or perhaps being a member of the same club as Mr. Cameron in some way may have clouded your judgment. However, we as players who are paying members of WIPA demand that proper representation is required. We wish to make it very clear that should the players be forced to take matters into their our own hands, we will not hesitate to take the appropriate action as see fit. We will hold you and the WIPA Board who support this process liable."

How could the players accept this?

1) Our Test/ODI/T20 fees have been decreased by 75%
2) No compensation for the use of our rights. That has been decreased by 100%
3) Our ICC fees have been decreased by close to 100%

Wavell seems to be doing a good job of representing those domestic players who don't have a chance of representing the West Indies, but a piss-poor job of representing WIndies players....

the players HAVE TO stand up for what is right and just for them always paying attention to the WICB situation ... but it seems current WIPA management minding WICB business better than player's business. Go deh players ... stand up YES!!! cool cool
