St John’s, Antigua – The West Indies Cricket Board today congratulated and thanked the members of the West Indies Cricket Team for their professionalism and sterling performance in the First One Day International against India resulting in a win for the regional team by a comprehensive 124 runs.

As is known, the match was under a cloud of possible disruption through withdrawal of player services, and the WICB, the BCCI and all our partners and stakeholders and especially cricket fans are no doubt delighted that a reasoned approach was taken in ensuring that the match was played. West Indies fans and the WICB are equally pleased with the result which was achieved through an obvious total team effort.

The WICB looks forward to the successful staging of the following four ODIs and the full tour of India as the team continues to prepare for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.

The International players say thanks, but no thanks.

They say there are more immediate and important matters.

The Players Association president said the team if fill with millionaire so they won't mind if he shuv a deal under the table. Look at the squad, even Russell is stepping into the millionaire's club. Also the Association president wine and dine with the WICBC president (both Jamaicans) then the deal was hurry through to make up for the time when the team went on strike for his bull $hit. But it back fired because the millionaires said, "Naaaa!! We want more money. We need to be able to feed our families.

I didn't realise exactly how much the BCCI runs WI cricket
