It is written somewhere in the Good Book that you reap what you sow. That, however, and obviously does not mean anything to the West Indies cricketers who recently embarrassed the West Indies in India.

Surprisingly, eight of them, eight of the players who recently and unceremoniously pulled out of the tour to India, including Test match captain Denesh Ramdin, have been selected by the West Indies to tour South Africa, a tour that takes place even before the dust of shame has settled over the West Indies.

What is surprising, however, based on the West Indies history, is that all of the players who were in India were not selected, including the ring leader, ODI skipper Dwayne Bravo.

Maybe the plan was to pick some and omit some while hoping to get away with it.

Could Tony Becca be anymore out of touch?

Someone should alert him that Bravo has not played test cricket since 2010; Sammy has retired from test cricket; and Pollard has yet to make his test debut so technically none of those-among the so-called ringleaders-was dropped from the test squad to South Africa.

Meanwhile,in all this, Tony Becca has tellingly absolved the WICB of all responsibility for all the problems in West Indies. If it would only be 'firm but fair' and banish all the recalcitrant players each time they start to grumble, or threaten industrial action to secure their rights, all would be well in West Indies cricket!

So much has passed him by while he was sleeping!

You are naive to think the Gleaner has self worth as a medium of change and progress in Jamaica. There is absolutely nothing that outfit can point to that has helped Jamaica progress as a country and its people.

Becca is just one example of what the Gleaner stands for and has aggressively promoted over the years.

An article that reflects the feelings of the average Caribbean person to this shocking decision by the Board. At the very least, Ramdin should have been bypassed as capt.

As a result of this move, I have made the decision and will be building coalition on it, not to view,support or follow WI in any match captained by Ramdin, Bravo or Sammy nor attend any such matches until further notice.

If a few thousand of us do likewise and hurt the Board where it matters, they will have no option but to either shape up or ship out!!

I try to get the facts as correctly as I can before blothing, no one got they pay cut whilst on tour, than was done before they went on tour. However, the revised package of increase match fees and performance pay was rejected by Bravo who misled the stupid boys (yes skip, whatever) and the rest is history. So what now - same contract for SA tour - Whose going???

As a WI supporter I wud find it difficult to boycott them, but lost all respect for Bravo, Sammy and Ramdin. What is surprising is bare face Ramdin has no shame, for now he is getting away with murder fighting for TT Captaincy and disrepecting the board with short pants, t-shirt and slipper for the meeting and over 1 hour late.

By inviting these dumb-ass players to tour South Africa, the board is putting themselves in a position to be shit on by these bunch of faggots. I was hoping that they (the board) would show some spine and leave these ass holes to wallow in their stupidity.
