ST. JOHN’S, Antigua – The West Indies Cricket Board late on Tuesday confirmed that 14 of the 15 players offered Match/Tour Contracts for the upcoming Test tour of South Africa have signed and returned the contracts.
Darren Bravo wrote to Chairman of Selectors Clive Lloyd and requested not to be considered for the Test series due to personal reasons.
A replacement player will subsequently be named.
The WICB extends its best wishes to Bravo as he seeks to address his personal matters and looks forward to his return to the game.
The players were required to respond to the WICB by 5 p.m. East Caribbean Time on Tuesday.
The WICB thanks the players for their timely and positive responses and looks forward to a successful tour of South Africa.

The Caribbean news media is the worst in the world. Many of time we have our pro athletes not making themselves available for selection or they just disappear.
First of all what happen to Kiron Powell from the Leeward Island?
Why is Darren Bravo having so many problems over the last year or so?
These player are not only test players for their counties anymore. Many of them are full time pro cricketers. We as fans need to know what is really going on? If you are a contracted player or somewhere in the Pro setup then the news people need to be setting up interviews and so on. Some of these Pro are even spoke persons for specific brand.
Lastly, what is the progress/status on Narine?

Nothing said as usual by the WICB or media on Narine.
Well the media did say that there's been no word on what's going on with Narine WRT WI but he has not been training with the Trinidad and Tobago team.
He has infact been training with his local club in Trinidad, Queens Park Oval.
